Sozopol (Greek Σωζόπολη, tour Süzebolu…) – a town in southeastern Bulgaria. In the XIX century, this city was known in Russia Sizopol transcription.
Sozopol is located 34 kilometers east-south-east of Bourgas. The city is located on a small peninsula jutting into the Black Sea.
Near Sozopol is the largest Bulgarian island in the Black Sea Sveti Ivan.
