Albena – a climatic health resort in Bulgaria, third in popularity among tourists. The first mention of this place goes back to the II-III century BC. e.pod called Geraneya. It does not have city status under Bulgarian law.
Albena resort opened August 24, 1969 and is located in the beautiful bay of the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria.
Located on the Black Sea coast on the slopes of the Dobrudzha plateau, 30 km north of Varna and Dobrich, 8 km south of Balchik, 500 km north-east of Sofia. The beach length is Albena 5 km and a width of 150 m.
